Terms of service

Last updated 27 October 2026

These terms apply when you sign up to one of Olyvia’s monthly plans. Olyvia is run by Patri and Nacho. If anything here isn’t clear, ask us at hello@olyviatheshop.com before you sign up.

1. What you get

Each plan includes what is listed for it on our pricing section on the day you sign up. We confirm your plan, its monthly price and your start date by email before we begin work.

2. Price and payment

There is no setup fee. You pay the monthly price of your plan in advance, by Direct Debit or card, from the month your website goes live. Our prices are shown without VAT; if VAT applies to your plan, it will be shown separately on your invoice. If a payment fails and isn’t sorted within 14 days of us telling you, we may take your website offline until it is.

3. How long the plan lasts

The first 12 months from the day your website goes live are a minimum term. After that your plan carries on month to month. You can cancel at any time by emailing us, with 30 days’ notice. If you cancel during the first 12 months, the monthly fees for the rest of that minimum term are still due.

4. Changes and updates

A “small update” is a change that takes us up to about 30 minutes: new text, photos, prices, opening hours, a new service on an existing page, that kind of thing. Starter includes one small update a month; Trade and Brand & Web include as many small updates as you need. Bigger work, such as new pages beyond your plan or new features, is quoted separately before we start. Just send us a WhatsApp or an email with what you want changing.

5. Your part

You give us the information we need and tell us if anything on your site is wrong. Everything you send us (words, photos, logos, reviews, accreditations such as Gas Safe numbers) must be accurate and yours to use. You’re responsible for the claims your business makes on its site.

6. Your domain, your content and our work

Your domain is registered in your name from day one, and we manage it for you while you’re on a plan. Your words, your photos and, on Brand & Web, the logo and brand files we design for you are yours. The website’s design and code are ours and you can use them for as long as your plan is active.

If you leave, we transfer your domain to you or to whoever you choose, and send you your content and logo files. If you’d like to keep the website itself, ask us and we’ll quote to hand it over.

7. Hosting and Google

We host your website, keep it secure and back it up. We work hard to keep it online, but we can’t promise it will never be unavailable, for example if a hosting or domain provider has a problem. We set up and look after your Google Business Profile with your permission; you stay its owner. Google decides how businesses rank, so we can’t guarantee a position, a number of calls or a number of jobs.

8. Personal data

We handle your details as described in our privacy notice. When your website collects enquiries from your customers, we process that information only to run your site and pass the enquiries to you.

9. Our liability

If something goes wrong because of us, our total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the problem. We aren’t liable for lost profits, lost business or indirect losses. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that the law doesn’t allow us to limit.

10. Changes to these terms or prices

If we change these terms or the price of your plan, we’ll tell you by email at least 30 days before the change applies. If you don’t want to carry on, you can cancel before it takes effect, even during the minimum term.

11. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales can deal with any dispute. We’d always rather sort things out by talking first.
